The truth is, even if your plan does cover you, a foreign travel medical plan is still a good idea. It provides benefits for things like emergency evacuation, that your health plan may not cover.

If you’re self-employed, or are not offered health insurance through an employer, you will need to find your own health plan. I help people research, apply and enroll in plans that best fit their needs and their budgets. I’m certified to assist people with enrollment through healthcare.gov and, in Maine, through CoverME.gov.
